It’s the third week of September and already many of the Athenians have boarded up their summer homes and headed back to the city. On this island you sense summer is shifting to another place. Time has elapsed and pomegranates are to be harvested, along with the quinces, fennel leaves and root, the peppers and radishes and the beans.
