Louise Shelley lives in Cardiff with her husband, but she’s originally from the South Wales Valleys.  Her writing started as an idea inspired by an actual event, which grew into a novel. She has brought her love of the Valleys landscape into her writing, but she also aims to challenge her readers, so she would not describe her work as mainstream

She works as a Civil Servant.  She enjoys films, books, travel and walks in the country.  She has done voluntary work for an organisation providing food for the homeless in Cardiff.
